Ravenous Pig

Ravenous Pig is one of the top ten best restaurants in Orlando. I went to this restaurant to see if it deserves the hype or is overrated.

So, I went to Ravenous Pig recently for the first time with friends and had a great time.

See what my friends and I had for Magical Dining at Ravenous Pig.

Drinks:

Gin&Jam- This drink was sweet, but not too sweet for people who don’t like a drink that is too sweet. It is a fruity drink. If you don’t like Gin, I think you should pass on this drink. This is my favorite of the two drinks I had that day.

Rough Rider – This drink was sweet, but not too sweet for people who don’t like a drink that is too sweet. It is an earthy drink.

Food:

Appetizers:

Gatherer Salad—I love salads, and this one was excellent. Everything on it was delicious and fresh. If you don’t like beets, I would pass on this salad.

Pork Bell—My friends thought this dish was good, and when they offered me a bite, I agreed that the Pork was yummy and well-seasoned. My friend Mike said, “The crispy pork belly was so tasty with the light curry sauce. It was a significant portion and yummy. They didn’t cook it in the oil because he can only have gluten-free food. He would order it again.

Main:

Rock Shrimp Carbonara – This dish was yummy and well-seasoned. I liked the shrimp and am happy they brought over pepper if you needed more. I only hated that I was given a small portion.

Steak frites—My friend had me try her food, which was excellent and well-seasoned. Both of my friends enjoyed their steak. Mike had a gluten-free version of the steak frites because he couldn’t eat the fries, so they gave him tomatoes with mornay sauce. It was so delicious, and another big portion.

Dessert:

Smores- This dessert was delicious. As a chocolate lover, I love how rich and smooth the chocolate is. If you like chocolate, I would advise you to try this dessert.

Pros and Cons:

Con:

1. The portion size for the Rock Shrimp Carbonara was too small. I wanted more.

2. The Smores dessert portion was too small; I wanted more. Mike had the Smores without the graham cracker crumbles. He said it was so chocolatey and tasty!!

Pros

1. They have gluten-free options.

2. They have excellent customer service. Their whole staff was so lovely. I want to shout out to Aniston, the host, and Acosta, our waiter, who were funny and fabulous.

3. The food and drinks are excellent.

4. They accommodate if you have any allergies or food or drink restrictions.

Should you try Ravenous Pig?

Yes, because the food was great, and everyone who worked there was fantastic. I would go to this restaurant again. I completely understand and agree with why this is one of Orlando’s top 10 best restaurants.
