This movie was nothing that I expected it to be. This German thriller has all the traits of being one of the best thriller movies that I’ve seen in a very long time.
This film had it all, suspense, powerful storyline that takes you into the world of all types of domestic abused women. But this was not a simple domestic abuse movie, this was a well written, executed, electrifying, edge of your seat thriller. The main character, Jules, played by Sabin Tambrea played the role of a quasi-telephone support for women, assuring that they get to their destination safely.
Jules’s character was odd yet sems to be genuinely concern for these women and, as the story develop, we learned more about his character and why he chose this line of work. So, you felt connected to him, his trauma and, yet can understand & sympathize as to how he became this vigilante known as the Calendar killer. Then, we meet Klara, played by (Luise Heyer), a mother who becomes the target of this vigilante, where at the end, she will need to make the choice presented by the Calendar Killer vigilante, either kill her abusive husband & live or face death herself before the clock strike midnight.
This crime thriller movie is a must see.
