In Jurassic World: Rebirth, Earth’s de-extinct dinosaurs now live only around the equator, the last region with a climate suitable for their survival. A specialized team is sent to a former island research facility to extract samples from three massive dinosaur species, samples that are crucial for developing a treatment for a life-threatening heart disease.
Honestly, I didn’t think this was a bad film. The performances, cast chemistry, setting, tone, visuals, and cinematography were all impressive. However, my main issue is the constant cycle of making and remaking another Jurassic movie. The plot feels practically non-existent because there’s nothing new left to explore, they’ve repeated the same ideas time and time again. There are no fresh angles, and much of the film simply recycles elements from the previous six installments, making the story predictable, dull, and ultimately boring. At this point, it feels more like a money grab, as any sense of creativity has faded.
In conclusion, it’s worth watching if you already have a Peacock subscription and, like me, have seen all the earlier films. But beyond that, it’s just another forgettable addition to the franchise.
