Big Fin Seafood: Our First Stop for Magical Dining 2026
Full Review
Magical Dining is officially here, and we knew exactly where we wanted to make our first stop.
If you’ve been following Couple of Critics for a while, you already know that Big Fin Seafood is one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. So when Magical Dining rolled around, it only felt right to start our culinary adventure here.
And yes… I may be a little biased. 😂 But with an impressive seafood menu, beautiful atmosphere, an extensive raw bar and some of my favorite dishes, Big Fin has always been one of those restaurants I’m happy to return to.
🍽️ The Experience
Big Fin is an upscale, polished seafood restaurant with a spacious dining room, charming décor, an extensive raw bar, premium wines and creative cocktails. It has that perfect combination of feeling sophisticated without being overly formal.
For Magical Dining, the prix-fixe menu starts at $60 per person, featuring a three-course experience with several tempting options.
Since there were three of us dining together, we decided to do what we do best at Couple of Critics — order different dishes so we could give you guys the full scoop!
And there was plenty to try.
🦐 Appetizers
I started with the Calamari, which was a great way to kick off the meal.
My husband went with the Lobster Bisque, while our friend chose the Cured Ahi Tuna.
Having three different appetizers gave us a chance to experience a nice variety of flavors, and overall, we were very pleased with our selections.
🐟 The Entrées
Now let’s talk about the seafood!
I ordered one of my all-time favorites — the Crispy Red Snapper. This was honestly one of the dishes I was most excited to see included on the Magical Dining menu, and it did not disappoint.
And for those who know my husband, you know he is usually reaching for the steak on a menu! 😂 But this time, he decided to step outside his comfort zone and try something different. He ordered the Crispy Red Snapper. as well because he wanted to experience something new instead of going with his usual steak order.
Our friend went with the Big Fin Swordfish, giving us another seafood option to try.
The three of us ended up with a great variety of seafood, and it was fun comparing the different dishes throughout the meal.
🍍 Desserts
This is where things got a little interesting.
I ordered the Upside-Down Pineapple Cake, while my husband chose the White Chocolate Peach Mousse. Our friend went with the Raspberry Blonde.
The desserts were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, they weren’t all winners for our table.
My husband wasn’t a fan of the texture of his White Chocolate Peach Mousse, although I was more than happy to help him finish it! 😂
Our friend enjoyed the Raspberry Blonde, but I wasn’t a fan of my Upside-Down Pineapple Cake. The presentation was beautiful, and honestly, I really wanted the dessert to taste as good as it looked. Unfortunately, for me, it was the biggest letdown of the meal.
So yes… I ended up trading desserts with my husband. That’s what dining with your Couple of Critics is all about! 😂
🍸 Let’s Talk Cocktails
We also sampled a couple of cocktails during dinner.
The Liquid Lust was amazing and definitely one we’d recommend trying.
The Espresso Waves, however, didn’t quite hit the same mark for us.
So if you’re choosing between the two, Liquid Lust gets our vote.
